From the Mind of a Third Grader

While the Dallas Terrorist attack was being televised live my eight year old daughter became horrified and asked her mother over and over if Daddy was there. My wife tried to explain afterwards about racism, what it meant and why those Officers were being shot at. It was a very difficult discussion and we spoke about it at length everyday. After the President gave his speech at the Dallas Memorial my daughter was left with even more confusion. She wanted to know why the President didn’t like the Police. These are not words I prompted her with but even she saw through the false empathy. My wife suggested she write a letter to the president explaining how she felt.

My daughter edited her letter multiple times and the original told the President that: “He should dislike the bad guys more, the bad guys who do drugs and hurt children.” I thought this was profound but she wanted to erase it because she felt they were truly not her own words but inspired by her parents. She eventually changed the ending of the letter to simply state “Police are good!” This is meaningful not just for me, but for all Law Enforcement out there, our children will listen to what we are teaching them so let us try and teach them the truth whenever possible. If we let the state raise our children the result is chaos.

Obviously I am biased here because I speak of my own child but I could not be more proud. After asking all of the appropriate questions over the last week and coming to her own conclusions she hit the nail on the head with deadly accuracy. Of course the president doesn’t have a great reputation in my household and I won’t ignore the fact that her words are ultimately inspired by my own lessons but isn’t that the point? Aren’t we supposed to foster critical thought in our young?

As a cop I’ve been taught to write at the fourth grade level which is extremely difficult for me yet this is third grade writing in its purest form. It speaks plainly to the message she wants to portray “my Daddy is good” and she is insulted by our leader believing anything otherwise. She feels strongly enough about it to mail this letter to the President and is hopeful for a response. The very idea that I or any of my partners would treat someone differently because of the color of their skin does not fit into her logic. She simply doesn’t believe this is true because she has not seen or heard of it. This is the danger of promoting false narratives.

Perhaps we could all learn from the third grade vantage point and learn to observe what is directly in front of us instead of focusing on the imaginary. We as a people can learn many lessons by simplifying the facts and acting on our own logic, deciding what the “truth” is by seeing this for ourselves. If I were a bigot and a racist she would know about it because it is not something you can hide from your own children. The obvious truth in her mind is vastly different from how the President views the world. What experiences has he had which causes him to believe in a universal falsehood that gives rise to racism in cops where it seldom exists?2

Our politicians need to leave their safe, upper class neighborhoods and mansions and view the world for what it truly is. I encourage President Obama to do a ride along with any lawman in any state and think about the things he witnesses. Any of you who are in doubt should also do this, perhaps some of your  questions would be answered and the world would reveal itself for how it truly exists in this realm, not the illusory world politicians speak of. Learn from the simple logic of a fourth grader and stop confusing the simple truth of the world. Racism is indeed real but where is it most prominent? Experience this issues from a wider vantage point if you can. Contact your local law enforcement agency and ask them about a ride along, you will be enlightened.

Ignore The Idiot Celebrities, Please

Oh yay!  More uneducated (on the topic) Hollywood yokels opening their pie holes and spewing spoon fed drivel about a topic on which they have ABSOLUTELY ZERO expertise!  Sounds a lot like the panderer in chief whom they joined in this video…

Can you all please just STFU!  Looks like I can add a few more new folks to my “won’t give them another dollar of my hard earned money” list.

Folks, don’t buy the bullshit they are shoveling!  I feel horrible for the relatives of the victims that they have included in this video, but disarming me does not make you safer.

If the recent events, especially those in CA, have shown nothing else, they have perfectly demonstrated that no matter what “common sense gun control laws” you put in place, evil people with bad intentions will still get guns, legally or illegally.  As those very same situations proved, it takes good guys with guns to stop bad guys with guns.  And the last, most important thing those recent situations proved is that when seconds count, the cops are only minutes away.   Trust me, I’m a cop, I know.  We wish we could be there to prevent these acts, but the sad reality is, we can’t.

Absolutely nothing (besides the gun grabbing morons that is) says the good guy with a gun need to be a cop.  The most important thing is that they have the right training and the right mindset. Do not let these leftist control freaks disarm you!

Yesterday (12-7-15), in utter frustration, a retired Army Lieutenant Colonel called President Obama a “total pussy.”  Liberals, in predictable fashion, were completely offended.

The Colonel was simply the first to say what the rest of the world has been thinking, for quite a while. The world looks at our President as….well, a total pussy. He spouts tough talk about “red lines”…yet does nothing. American citizens are murdered by terrorists…and he spends an entire speech talking about disarming Americans, and “islamophobia”. His foreign policy is one of capitulation and weakness. He believes that weak talk will solve the problems that require strength.

Why? Well, take a look at him. He is a physically weak man. An effeminate, manipulative beta male. He believes that giving in is better than standing tall. He believes that manipulative speeches, and weakness are the solutions to terrorists that want to murder Americans.

Quite simply…He is #PresidentPussy

It is time that Americans show the world that #PresidentPussy does not speak for us. That Americans know that strength and resolve will be the key to defeating terrorism, not weakness.

Use the hashtag. Make it go viral. Take a stand against weakness.

My America vs. Obama’s

I’ve said it before, Barack Obama is absolutely the most divisive, un-American president the United States of America has ever had.  This morning, a photo (included below) of normal Americans sitting outside a Marine recruiting center, armed and standing guard over the disarmed Marines inside, really struck me as an example of the difference between what I picture when I think about America compared to Obama’s version.

All of these photos are less than a year old, and they serve as a good example of the difference between my America and Obama’s.  Imagine if I were to dig back to say, I don’t know, Benghazi…

My America

Where citizens come out to stand guard at a Marine recruitment center, and show both support and appreciation for what those soldiers do

Where a black cop charged with protecting a demonstration aids a KKK supporter who is having heat related medical issues

Citizens from every ethnicity gather together to mourn the loss of 9 black folks murdered by a racist coward

Citizens come out in droves to show their local cops that they support them

Americans from all walks of life respectfully mourn the loss of 5 soldiers killed in a Islamic terrorist attack on US soil

Citizens standing up for law enforcement, and realizing all lives matter, not just one segment of society

And finally, a video that I watch periodically that reminds me of My America

Obama’s America

Where the president immediately makes racially charged public statements in defense of a known felon who was killed while assaulting a cop

Where these six cops are charged with a “racially motivated” murder of a fleeing black male suspect, who was arrested in a sweep requested by the very DA prosecuting them

Where the actions of a deranged, racist coward are blamed on sentiments felt by some when viewing a historic flag

Lawmakers discuss legislation to force a small CA city to change its name, because the fort the city was named after was named after an Army General who at one point served in the Confederate Army

Where the mayor of a major American city tells the cops to stand down and lets “protesters” destroy parts of the city

Where the president visiting convicted felons in prison is touted as a good thing

Where cops no longer have the same right to a grand jury review as the rest of the population

Where the FBI is unable to find a link between this shooter and ISIS

Where this deal is touted as a solution to prevent Iran from building nuclear weapons

Where calling the president out for lying to push his social agenda is met by name calling, accusations of racism and demands I leave the country

Where these three people are murdered by multiple time deported illegal aliens who were multiple time convicted felons and the president does nothing, yet he sends representatives to the funerals of felons who were killed by cops

Where a gang affiliated felon killed while feloniously assaulting cops gets a permanent memorial

And finally, where marches in NY city have protesters calling for the murder of law enforcement officers.

The people who voted for Obama voted for “hope and change.”  Well, there has been no hope, and all of the change has been dramatically for the worse.  I only “hope” that they will pull their heads out of the collective asses during this next election, or I fear the change Obama has brought will only get worse.

Obama Takes Another Step Toward National Police Force

Ooops, I mean he announces restrictions on scary stuff for cops.

I woke up early this morning because the wife had a training class for her job, which meant I had “get the kids on the bus” duty.  I packed lunches, did all my Mr. Mom taks and plopped in my chair with my coffee to wait until it was time to leave.  I took my first sip of coffee and looked at my phone, and was greeted by the headline “Obama announces restrictions on distribution of military-style equipment to police” prominently displayed on the Fox News app on my phone.  Say what?  I started to read but it was time to go, so getting pissed at Obama, again, would have to wait.

After returning from the bus stop, I fired up my computer, sucked more coffee down and read the article.

Only a few sentences in, I was struck by something (again – seem to get daily reminders): what a conniving, two faced jerk the president is. Just last week, this same man gave a speech at the capital during National Police Week where he feigned concern about the officers who have made the ultimate sacrifice for this nation, and where he pretended to be concerned about our safety, where only weeks before he was castigating us on national television while siding with “protesters”. And here he is now, again, only days later, putting a halt to the federal government providing gear to law enforcement agencies, some of which is very valuable in keeping officers safe. You will have to excuse me if I am not buying what he is selling.

Enough of me hating on Obama, let me examine what is actually being discussed in this article. So he is putting a halt to distributing the following items to local law enforcement:
– grenade launchers
– bayonets
– “certain” armored vehicles (later specified as tracked vehicles – think M113 APC)
– “weaponized aircraft”
– “firearms or ammunition of .50-caliber or higher”
– camouflage uniforms (gasp!)

20mm_gunNow, let me see if I’ve got this right. We no longer will be receiving Cobra and Apache helicopters? No bayonets? What about all those bayonet charges we had been planning? No more 20mm cannons? Does this mean no more ICBM’s too? Holy crap, how are we going to function???

Ok, enough being silly. Let me address this with at least some sincerity.

Those “grenade launchers” that agencies received are nothing more than a 40mm launcher, but “grenade launcher” just sounds more scarier. Agencies, at least to my knowledge, are not using 40mm HE (high explosive) ammo. I know of no instances where cops were lobbing grenades and blowing up people or stuff. What they are using those launchers for is a huge variety of less lethal ammunition that is designed for crowd control use and various types of chemical agents which are used for both crowd control and for barricaded suspects. A number of those 40mm less lethal munitions can be seen on Safariland’s website (impact and chemical). I mean really, God forbid the feds provide law enforcement agencies with obsolete military gear that can be used as less lethal options for resolving situations. That would be horrible…

bayonet_1301Bayonets? I am not even going to address that, unless of course someone can provide me a single picture of an on-duty cop anywhere in the US with a bayonet affixed to his rifle. Until then, this is just plain stupid.

Moving on to those nasty armored vehicles. I honestly do not see what difference it makes if the vehicle is wheeled or tracked. Is tracked more evil or deadly? It is not as if agencies have been given M1 Abrams tanks (the scary “T” word that media keeps using when referring to armored cars). Armored vehicles serve only one purpose for law enforcement, and that is to provide cops with a bullet proof/resistant vehicle to use in high risk scenarios, such as riot control and barricaded suspect/hostage situations. Throughout this article, they continue to refer to Ferguson as an example, yet the majority of the armored vehicles I saw there were in fact Lenco Bearcats, not military handouts, and definitely not tracked vehicles.

“Weaponized aircraft?” Again, not even going to address this idiotic notion other than to say it is not even happening. The fact that it is even mentioned just shows that this is all nothing more than a song and dance to placate the loudly screaming, uninformed idiots.

As for the “firearms and ammo of .50 cal or greater”, I am a bit confused. I suppose that some agencies may have possibly received an M2 at some point, and I concur that a Browning M2 machine gun has absolutely no use in law enforcement, but is it such a widespread issue that it needs to be addressed by the president, on a national stage? How many of those are out there? How many have been deployed on the streets? What other firearms or ammunition is law enforcement receiving from the feds that are larger than .50 cal? Again, more great sound bites to quell the yelling masses.

CamoFinally we get to the clincher, that one thing that will solve all the law enforcement related strife in the US; those damned camo uniforms! You know, because so many cops are running around in camo on a daily basis, and doing camo things with their camo clothing… Camouflage uniforms, as far as law enforcement is concerned, are typically only worn by one group of people, and that is the SWAT team. The problem is the media and cop haters both take about a zillion pictures of SWAT personnel in camo and plaster those photos all over the internet, making it appear that the cops are all out there in military camo, which is far from the truth. While camo has very little useful application in riot control, it actually has does play an important role in many of the things that SWAT units train for, such as hostage situations and barricaded subjects. From a simple logistics standpoint, it does not make any sense for SWAT to have five different uniforms to choose from, which is why their tactical uniform is typically some sort of camouflage, and for larger agencies, is usually purchased by the agency anyway, not surplus.

Let us take a quick look at the bigger picture here. There has been no documented “misuse” of any of these items listed here. Please point me to a news story that discusses any sort of grenade launcher use, bayonetting, attack helicopters, etc. Yes, you will probably find story after story talking about how scary “tanks” and that evil camo are, but find me one where the actual usage was documented. This is all about appearance, about image, about playing a card and nothing more.

Now, for my personal take on this (pulling on my tin foil hat).  This action by Obama is yet another sleight of hand to appease the useful idiots.  He has been taking little steps, one at a time, toward a national police force, something he actually called for from the beginning in his campaign, and this is just another rung on that ladder.  He has even had his buddy Al Sharpton out calling for a national police force.  If you do not believe that is Obama’s goal, don’t take my word for it, take his:

Now, for a final point to ponder: If you think having local control of law enforcement is bad, just imagine how great a job the feds will do.

Mixed Signals or Blatant Lies?

To hear the Obama administration talk about the need to ban a very common ammunition in order to “save police lives”, would lead one to think that this administration actually cares about cops lives.  But, when looking at other actions regarding law enforcement by the Obama administration, this move to ban ammo to “protect law enforcement” seems very counter to their past acts.

The ammo that the administration is trying to ban, M855 “green tip”, or SS109 5.56mm rifle ammo has been available to the public for a very long time.  This ammo has a mild steel tip but is in fact not designed as “armor piercing” ammunition, nor does it qualify as “armor piercing” as laid out in the law that banned armor piercing ammo [18 U.S.C. § 921(a)(17)(B) and (C)]

This ammo, that the Obama administration has to ban for the sake of law enforcement, is so horribly evil that James Pasco, executive director of the Washington office of the Fraternal Order of Police, said this about it: “While this round will penetrate soft body armor, it has not historically posed a threat to law enforcement.”  And this: “Any ammunition is of concern to police in the wrong hands, but this specific round has historically not posed a law enforcement problem,”

Obama loves the cops so much, and is banning this ammo just to protect them.  Obama has repeatedly shown his love for law enforcement, since taking office, by:
– publicly commenting about how the cops “acted stupidly”
– accusing law enforcement nationwide of racial prejudices and corruption
– by sending representatives to the funerals of criminals who were killed in self-defense
– by sending representatives to the funerals of violent criminals killed by law enforcement
– by publicly stating that he stands with the mothers of said slain criminals
– by ginning up the anti-cop rhetoric so that an entire city suffers from riots, for weeks and months

Obama further shows his deep concern for cops by:
– NOT sending representatives to the funerals of slain cops, including a cop killed by an illegal immigrant who is allowed to stay here in the country thanks to Obama’s end run around the immigration laws
– NOT sending representatives to the unveiling of a memorial of a slain border patrol agent who was killed using guns smuggled by Obama’s very own “justice” department.

Yes, Obama clearly loves us cops, and is so concerned with our well being that it is necessary to ban this rifle ammunition.  Obama loves law enforcement like a wife beater loves their spouse…

OR, could it just be that Obama is once again lying to the public and all the useful idiots out there to try and ban some very popular ammo for AR based rifles, the rifle he loves to hate?  You tell me which is more likely the real reason.  In my book, actions speak louder than words, and Obama has spoken volumes.
